The new print edition with entries in the original ascending order is now available on Amazon.
Additionally, I have begun to make video shorts on selected entries. Here's the playlist: The Kindle edition is now at 19.2. I have reversed the order of the entries to ascending from 0001., when the book was titled Code Of Wisdom, circa 1990 (and typed on a typewriter). Also in the works is a new print edition, which is also in ascending order.
The downside of being vigilant of happy accidents while working is that even if you capture them, you still need to develop them, and perhaps in the process, make the accidents less 'happy'. Happy accidents are fleeting and fragile and have to be treated gently.
Song ideas are blocks of stone that have to be sculpted. After you do lots of sculpting, the blocks become unique to you—and when the universe sends you the blanks, they already bear your signature. This is how a signature style develops.
Dynaxiom Edition 19.1 is now available on Amazon. 1402. Eclipses are a time for surrender to serendipity. But eclipses are also empirical, and completely predictable. It is what happens in the context of them that is serendipitous. (8/2017)
1403. It is inconceivable that anyone could witness a total eclipse for the first time and say, 'That was just okay'. (8/2017) [This is not exactly true. We always assume everyone will see and feel as we do. Flocking to see an eclipse is not unlike being a 'fan' or 'supporter' of them. Others will never see (understand) them as you see them, or find them significant at all.] 1494. ...In creative work we can operate off of Venn diagrams where partial 'eclipses' happen, then pass. That's where the best focus is. It says 'look here now'. 2273. All disciplines can overlap on the Venn diagram, but you don't want them to start being totally eclipsed: You want the various spheres to move freely, and sometimes you have to manually move them around. 2273. All disciplines can overlap on the Venn diagram, but you don't want them to start being totally eclipsed: You want the various spheres to move freely, and sometimes you have to manually move them around. #creativity COVID-19 is a wildfire that burned the arts to the ground but it will rise from the ashes from the surviving seeds. As it is sometimes said in spiritual circles, "Form changes, but content lives on." (4/2020)
Sometimes all life is the going of nowhere. (4/2020) A part of the spirit of a generation dies with its artists. (David Bowie, now Prince) (4/2016) [As much as boomers loved Bowie, he is a fading figure, but will perhaps emerge again in the 2040s when the youngest generations will discover a newly-discovered artistic freedom]. Prediction: In the future, biology will make the machines, that will in turn make the biology. (4/2001) In the future, news, film, and advertising will be a merged reality. (4/2001) [It's called YouTube] Strategy for becoming happy: Watch for moments where you feel jubilant, then find more places to feel that way.
This is dated in the early aughts probably. Music became more visual with MTV, or we made the connection that multi-track recording is similar to film editing. Lately I have been creating videos for album sides as a virtualization of listening to a record while looking at the album art, which is so much better than playlists.
Just as a reminder, even to myself, that there are Dynaxiom annotations where I expound or explain selected entries.
